EYMaths on Tour in Qatar and Dubai
Are you ready to TRANSFORM your teaching of 'Number Sense' FOREVER in just 3 hours?
Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to join Karen Wilding, Director of EYMaths for in-person training, April 2024
'Fantastic training that has challenged my thinking about teaching in every way - not just about numeracy but across the curriculum. Thank you!'
Patricia Colhoun
What will you learn?
As a result of this 3-hour, information-packed session, you will:
- Understand how 'subitising' and 'counting' are essential to building 'Number Sense' (but NOT in the way you might think) and the many ways we can easily and meaningfully teach children these tools all day everyday (at school and at home)
- Learn engaging ways to make five and ten frames part of your everyday provision and understand why they need to be central to your practice to build children's ability to understand numbers beyond 10, composition, part/whole, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and lots more!
- Come away feeling confident, excited and armed with a 'tool box' of transformative skills that you can't wait to immediately apply back in class with your children!
-
Wow Karen, what an amazing journey into number sense! I am really excited now to share this with my children and continue my own learning journey into how marvellous maths really is!
Thank you so much.

Audience:
This training is perfect for you if you are:
- Early years educators committed to revolutionising the way we teach 'Number Sense' so every child is given the very best start to their mathematical journey.
- Educators working with children ages 5 - 11 who wish to understand the reasons for common failures to embed number sense fluency and how to address them.
- Educators working with children with learning disabilities seeking to make learning accessible, relevant and meaningful.
That made so much sense to me and I question why we haven't ever been taught this, even as teachers. The structure of a number! In my experience children have no idea what 23 looks like in terms of quantity, they just refer to it as a big number as they can't visualise.
